Otherwise, expect new playable characters, lots and lots of NPCs, mini-bosses, raid bosses, badass versions of enemies, crazy amounts of loot and an environment so hostile, that even Australia would seem like a cakewalk. IMHO, one of the best villains in any game ever. Storywise, Borderlands 2 doesn't bring all that much new to the table, but this time it features an insanely charismatic antagonist Handsome Jack, who makes it that much more interesting & better. Music, on the other hand, is superb and fits the game's setting and atmosphere perfectly. Voice acting and dialogues are still extremely cheesy and humor is still very cringy at times, but the game follows the principle - 'more is better'. In the graphics department, Borderlands 2 has evolved in terms of lighting and particle effects, keeping the cartoony visuals and art style. It is much longer, has way more characters, locations, missions, vehicles, customization, perks, etc. Borderlands 2 follows the formula of taking all the good stuff from the original game and multiplying it by 2. Just like the first Borderlands, this game is designed with COOP in mind, so bear mind, that it's much more interesting, challenging and rewarding with a buddy or three. It almost seems to have endless replayability, until the player gets tired of its over-the-top mechanics and visuals. That should give you an idea of how big the game actually is.

Overall, this game is perfect, and has near infinite replay value (which I heavily value in games), can't recommend it enough.Д«orderlands 2 is the game I've spent the most time playing out of any game, without reaching a cap or 100%-ing with all the characters, DLCs, Achievements and New Game Plus modes. The only nitpick I can think of is that there are slight performance issues and bugs (it definitely shows it's age on some places). Each having their own play-style that can easily fit a build you are doing. All of the legendary and 'unique' weapons are, well, very unique. Even Sawtooth Cauldron, an area I remember disliking, ended up being a really fun area. All of the locations (ESPECIALLY in the Commander Lillith DLC) are absolutely amazing. You're constantly getting new guns, or you can farm bosses you've killed for their assigned legendary (which is a pretty ingenious system). Staying spoiler free, everything that happens in this bossfight is just perfection. One of my favorite boss fights ever is Control Core Angel. Handsome Jack's development as a character was very cool to watch be played out. I didn't play BL1 first so I was actually really surprised by the Angel plot twist.

You can constantly find out new information about the characters. All of the characters are really charming and fleshed out, I was worried that claptrap would end up being a 'jar-jar' but he ended up being a really funny character. The characters, the story, the loot progression, locations, weapons, everything here is perfect.
